JD is an Australian entrepreneur, founder and former television personality in Japan who has spent more than three decades working across media, business and entrepreneurship. Fluent in Japanese, he became one of Japan's top 10 foreign television personalities, appearing regularly on major national programs including The TONIGHT Show, Waratte ii Tomo, CNN Daybreak, Sekai Tondemo History, Chikyu Marukajiri, SMAP, Tonnels and many more.
Beyond television, JD appeared in award-winning TV commercials for global brands including Toyota, Coca-Cola, Sony, Suntory Beer, Disneyland and others, and was a regular columnist for leading Japanese publications. As a sought-after MC, presenter and speaker, he has hosted international events including the World Daidougei Cup, Tokyo Motor Show and World Skateboard Championships. He also created and hosted original TV programs, including JD's EZ English on Czech's largest TV network, TV Nova.
His media career included live commentary of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony for Japan's Bunka Hoso and AFL Grand Finals from the MCG to Japan, combining his passion for sport with his ability to communicate across international cultures.
Today, JD continues to share his entrepreneurial journey as the Founder & CEO of KIXI. Drawing on decades of experience in storytelling, media and international business, his mission is to build a globally recognised premium beverage brand that inspires healthier lifestyles and creates lasting impact. Looking beyond business, he also hopes to inspire ambitious young people around the world to pursue their dreams in entrepreneurship, sport, and life.
